Wind Energy :.
What is Wind Energy?
Wind energy is energy that is produced using wind turbines. A wind turbine is a device the converts kinetic energy from wind into energy we can use to power things we need. Other devices that could be used to create wind energy are a windmill or a wind pump.
Wind energy is created by this process:
A wind turbine takes about 6 months to a year to install, but energy can be made as soon as construction is finished. Smaller wind turbines may only take a day or two to construct.
Wind energy is created by this process:
- Wind turbine converts kinetic energy into mechanical energy
- Transformer increases voltage for transmission to substation
- Substation increases voltage for transmission over long distances
- Transmission to the grid
